NYPD says more body parts found in Brooklyn Bridge Park

US

More human remains were found by the shore in Brooklyn Bridge Park overnight Wednesday, police said – just days after officials found a human skull and bones nearby.

Wednesday’s discovery happened just after midnight at 47 Water Street near Jane’s Carousel, a popular 100-year-old attraction which bustles with tourists during the day.

Police said a passerby spotted the remains, but could not confirm exactly what body parts they were.

Officials said it was still unclear whether those bones were related to the ones spotted by a Parks Enforcement Patrol officer near 55 Water Street Monday morning.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was investigating.

This is a developing story and may be updated.
