The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled the first bobblehead of Stoughton-native gymnast Frederick Richard, who recently helped the U.S. men’s gymnastics team win bronze at the Paris Olympics — their first medal since 2008.

Decked out in red, white and blue, the bobblehead stands at eight inches in height and shows Richard’s arm pumped in the air in celebration with a bronze medal hanging from his neck. The figure stands on a podium with the athlete’s name inscribed on the front.

“Being part of a medal winning team representing the United States is something I will always remember,” Richard said in a statement. “To have that commemorated with a bobblehead doll is one of those surprises that you never think about when you dream about being on the podium.”

“One of my goals is to spread the word about how exciting men’s gymnastics is so that we can grow our sport,” said Richard. “I hope my bobblehead will help inspire kids across the country to try it out.”

The 20-year-old Olympian recently finished his sophomore season at the University of Michigan. He helped the U.S. men’s gymnastics team score 257.793 points combined, earning bronze, and finished in 15th in the all-around individual final in Paris.

“We congratulate Fred and wish him continued success, including in college and as he prepares for the Summer Games in Los Angeles in 2028,” said Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

Produced in conjunction with Richard, the bobblehead is currently available for presale and is expected to ship in January 2025. Each product will be individually numbered and sold exclusively on the museum’s online store.
