Almost fall-like weather conditions will continue Tuesday in Chicagoland, with high temperatures nearly 10 degrees below normal for this time of year.
But those temps will increase as the week continues, ushering in hot, humid conditions again for the weekend and into next week.
Tuesday, however, will be cool, dry and breezy again, with high temps in the upper 60s to lower 70s and a northeast breeze again gusting up to around 20 miles per hour.
It’s cool and dry in the early-morning hours, with temps down into the lower 50s in some locations. It will stay sunny and pleasant Tuesday, though some increasing cloud cover could creep in late in the day and into the evening.
It’s also another day to avoid swimming at Lake Michigan beaches.
A High Swim Risk is in effect for Lake and Cook counties in Illinois and Lake and Porter counties in Northwest Indiana until 4 p.m. Tuesday, with waves from 3 to 6 feet expected.
Tuesday’s high temps will likely reach the low point for the week, then temps are projected to keep increasing each day.
It’ll feel like the second half of August by the weekend, with high humidity and temps soaring to around 90 by Sunday and into next week.
