New rodeo practice facility coming to Taylor in 2026

US

TAYLOR, Texas (KXAN) — A new rodeo arena and practice facility is headed to the Williamson County Expo Center.

The site is expected to be around 85,000 square feet and will be next to the current pavilions on site.

The project was paid for by Williamson County voters who approved park bonds several years ago.

Construction is expected to begin in the next few months. The arena is expected to open in summer 2026.

Williamson County Expo Center General Manager, Jason Brown, said it’s a project that’s been years in the making.

Williamson County reporter Barrett Tryon is working on the story for KXAN News at 6 and will talk more about the impact of what it means to nearby Taylor and Central Texas as a whole.
