CFD firefighters battle 2-alarm blaze in Back of the Yards neighborhood early Sunday morning

CHICAGO — Chicago Fire Department personnel battled a 2-alarm fire in the Back of the Yards neighborhood early Sunday morning.

Firefighters responded to the blaze in the 4700 block of South Ashland Avenue on the city’s Southwest Side. CFD reported around 7 a.m. Sunday the fire had been put out and the area secured, with no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
