33-year-old man hit and killed while walking in street in Dunning on city's Northwest Side, police say

CHICAGO — A 33-year-old man was hit and killed after entering a street from between two parked vehicles late Saturday night in the Dunning neighborhood on the city’s Northwest Side.

According to police, the man was walking in the 3300 block of North Harlem Avenue and entered the street from between two parked vehicles when he was struck by a woman driving a black SUV.

Police say the man sustained head trauma and was treated by Chicago Fire Department personnel before being taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the driver of the SUV remained on scene, and citations were issued.

Major Accidents detectives are investigating.
