2 injured after car flips, crashes into Springfield McDonalds

The driver and one patron are in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the Springfield Fire Department said.

A car crash in Springfield ended in a peculiar way on Saturday night. Photos of the crash at 806 Boston Road show the car wound up on its front, resting on a McDonalds.

The Springfield Fire Department said they responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

Photos of the crash released by the department show the car’s trunk smashed into the awning of the fast food restaurant. The front hood of the car rests on the curb. Every part of the car appears to be significantly damaged, and there seems to be debris scattered around the establishment building.The vehicle appears to be missing the entire front left wheel, while the roof and doors all bear significant dents.

The driver and one McDonalds patron were taken to the hospital, a social media post from the fire department said. Both have non-life threatening injuries, according to the post.
