The Democratic National Convention will kick off in Chicago Monday – but it’s not the first time the Windy City has hosted the major event. In 1968, a dramatic convention saw then-president Lyndon Johnson step aside, moving his vice president to the top of the ticket, in an echo of President Joe Biden’s move earlier this year.
