The newest entertainment and sports destination in Los Angeles officially opens Thursday

At long last, the arena that’s set to become the latest mainstay in the “Entertainment Capital of the World” will open its doors to the public on Thursday.

The $2 billion Intuit Dome in Inglewood hosts its first event on Thursday, a concert from pop music icon Bruno Mars. The “24K Magic” singer opens the venue with two sold-out concerts, one on Thursday and the other on Friday.

On Saturday, stand-up comedian Sebastian Maniscalco will play the arena, becoming the first non-musical act to entertain Intuit Dome audiences.

Other notable upcoming acts for the rest of August include pop star Olivia Rodrigo on Aug. 20-21, Mexican singer Peso Pluma on Aug. 24 and hip-hop duo Future and Metro Boomin on Aug. 31.

The full schedule can be found here. The dome will also host the Los Angeles Clippers starting with the upcoming NBA season, although the league hasn’t released its full schedule as of Thursday.

One unique feature for the futuristic venue that visitors should know is that it’s required that attendees download the official Intuit Dome smartphone app. In order to access tickets, visitors have to create an account on the app.

On that app, visitors can upload their “Game Face ID,” which is a photo of themselves that will allow them to enter the venue without displaying a ticket. Of course, ticket holders can have their passes scanned the traditional way as well.

The Intuit Dome, much like SoFi Stadium, is an entirely cashless venue, meaning visitors must pay for concessions and merchandise with a credit or ATM card.

Fans that don’t want to deal with finding a parking spot can take a free shuttle service that will drop them out right in front of the arena.
