The city of Edmond, Oklahoma, has agreed to pay a settlement of over $7 million to Glynn Simmons, a man who was convicted and sentenced to death in 1975 for a murder he did not commit. Earlier this year, Simmons filed a federal lawsuit accusing police of fabricating the evidence in the crime to get a conviction.
