Dental office worker who mocked patient’s diary is still laughing

US

One of the Tennessee dental staffers who went viral for mocking the intimate, private diary of a cancer patient is still laughing — relishing her new infamy as a “piece of s–t.”

Kelsey Pollard, one of several employees fired from Premier Dental Group of Knoxville this week after the cruel video went viral, could not hide her glee as she filmed a follow-up TikTok mocking the outrage.

“When you go viral for being a piece of s–t,” she captioned the video, which showed her grinning and flashing a peace sign to the camera.

To hit home the message, Pollard then pretended to meekly walk to climb into a dumpster — giving a smiling final wave to the camera.

Soon after sharing the clip — with the hashtag #viral — Pollard made her TikTok account private.

She and several of her co-workers were canned this week after a video of them reading and mocking a cancer patient’s private diary emerged online, sparking outrage from all corners of the Internet as people condemned the major violation of privacy.

The clip, taken by another employee, shows Pollard sitting criss-cross on the floor and leaning in intently as another female employee in black scrubs teases the patient’s diary entries, which detail the patient’s concern that there are “not any other treatment options” for their cancer.

A male employee was also in the room, but seemingly chose to scroll on his phone rather than intervene, the video shows.

In the original clip, Pollard could be seen on the ground listening intently to the other employee read the diary.

“Found a patient’s journal and now it’s story time lmfao,” the employee who shared the clip wrote in the video caption.

Premier Dental Group of Knoxville shared an apology Monday, acknowledging an “inappropriate video created and shared by some of our employees that addressed an individual’s medical condition in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner.”

The unidentified employee in scrubs was also canned for their actions in the video.

“We deeply regret this incident and the hurt [it] has caused,” the practice wrote in a since-deleted statement on Facebook.

A spokesperson for PDG confirmed to The Post that the female employees involved in the incident were fired “effective immediately.” After an investigation, it was determined that the male employee did not participate and kept his job.

“We are committed to maintaining a respectful and professional environment for everyone, and we will continue to take necessary actions to uphold these standards,” the practice said.
