Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz, defended the recent attacks on his military record after he’s been criticized by some Republicans, including GOP vice presidential nominee JD Vance. Walz retired from the Army National Guard in 2005 after 24 years of service. CBS News confirmed Walz retired to run for Congress months before his unit received orders to deploy.
