WAUCONDA, Ill. — A fire at an apartment building in the northwest suburbs on Monday afternoon displaced residents in five units.
According to Wauconda Fire District Chief Patrick Kane, the blaze erupted in an eight-unit apartment building in the 200 block of Wethington Drive, in Wauconda.
Crews were called to the scene just before 4:30 p.m. and arrived within four minutes to find flames on the building’s second story.
