Woman shot in 7-Eleven parking lot in Commerce City dies

US

A woman shot and critically injured in a 7-Eleven parking lot Friday night has died, Commerce City police officials said Monday.

A man injured in the same shooting near 104th Avenue and U.S. 85 died Saturday, and a man police believe was involved in the shooting was later found dead as a result of suicide. Their names have not yet been released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

Investigators believe the suspect knew at least one of the victims and that the shooting was not a random act, Commerce City police officials said in a post on Facebook.

The shooting is not believed to be connected to domestic violence, officials said Monday.

The woman’s death brings the total number of people killed in shootings in Commerce City over the weekend to six, which department officials said makes it one of the city’s most violent weekends ever.
