Man wanted for murder shot by officers in Anaheim

Officers in Anaheim shot a man who was wanted for a murder Friday afternoon.

The shooting occurred at State College Boulevard and La Palma Avenue, close to the 91 Freeway, police said on X, formerly Twitter.

The man, whose identity has not been released, is wanted for his alleged involvement in a murder, and U.S. Marshals asked the APD to assist, police told KTLA.

While the exact events leading up to the shooting have not yet been disclosed, police said law enforcement opened fire.

The man was hit at least once and is hospitalized. His condition is unknown.
