JARRELL, Texas (KXAN) — A Central Texan had a special delivery after Williamson County EMTs delivered a pizza to their home after the pizza driver had been involved in a car crash.

Williamson County ESD No. 5 (also known as the Jarrell Fire Department) shared the story on the department’s Facebook Thursday. Williamson County EMS and Jarrell Fire responded to the car crash involving a delivery driver for Jarrell’s business Pizza Pie Co. Crews said the driver was more concerned with the pizza delivery being fulfilled than her wellbeing.

“Williamson Co. EMS agreed to help the driver complete the delivery and in a few minutes they were at the door of the citizen and the pizza was delivered!” officials said in the post. “The concern the delivery driver had for getting her job done is awesome and the teamwork our EMS crew showed to help make that delivery was what being a public servant is all about.”

Williamson County ESD No. 5 thanked the pizza delivery’s recipient, who shared the delivery news — including Ring camera footage showing EMTs dropping off the pizza — in a community Facebook group.

In the post, the recipient said the driver’s safety is of utmost importance and said they were thinking of the driver and sending well wishes her way.

“It is also heartwarming to see we are still a small enough town that people still help each other,” the customer added.
