A 20-year-old woman was left in critical condition after she was stabbed several times early Saturday morning in the Uptown neighborhood, Chicago police said.

About 3 a.m., the woman was in the 4400 block of north DuSable Lake Shore Drive when she was involved in an argument the turned into a fight with two other woman, police said. The two suspects battered the victim and used a cutting instrument to stab the victim multiple times to the back.

The woman got herself to Weiss Memorial Hospital where she was transferred to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where her condition was stabilized.

No one was in custody for the attack and detectives were investigating.
