Two people were “critically wounded” in a Friday night shooting in Commerce City, according to police.

Around 8 p.m. Friday, Commerce City officers responded to a 7-Eleven parking lot near 104th Avenue and U.S. 85, according to a statement from the police department.

When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman — both believed to be adults — in the parking lot with what police described as critical injuries. Paramedics transported both to the hospital, and their current conditions are unknown.

Officials with the Commerce City Police Department could not elaborate on how the two were wounded Saturday but confirmed there was a shooting in the parking lot.

Police officers are searching for a person of interest spotted on surveillance footage in the area and a black Dodge truck without license plates, according to a Saturday morning update.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident, person of interest or suspect vehicle to call 911.

As of Saturday morning, no arrests had been made.
