All hail the DunkQueen!

Miss Massachusetts Melissa Sapini in her DunkQueen costume. Dunkin’

From pageant queen to DunkQueen? Miss Massachusetts Melissa Sapini donned a Dunkin’ themed costume to celebrate Massachusetts at the 2024 Miss USA Pageant.

Inspired by the viral DunKings tracksuits from an ad Dunkin’ ran during this year’s Super Bowl, Sapini’s costume featured a bright pink and orange bodysuit. However, Sapini’s getup did have one thing Matt Damon and Ben Affleck didn’t: a giant inflatable donut on her back.

“Every Miss USA contestant needs a show-stopping, state-inspired costume, and Miss Massachusetts had the perfect ensemble, embodying Dunkin’s rich Massachusetts heritage,” Dunkin’ said about Sapini’s costume.

The beloved coffee brand said Sapini’s costume blended her Hatian roots with “Massachusetts pride.” Spaini’s mother immigrated from Haiti 23 years ago. Her first meal on American soil? At Dunkin’, of course.

“A bagel with cream cheese and a hot coffee,” Dunkin’ said.

North Attleboro native Sapini placed in the top 10 in the pageant.
