CPD: Teen boy missing from South Side for over 3 weeks

CHICAGO — A search is underway for a teen boy who police say has been missing from the South Side for over three weeks.

According to Chicago police, 15-year-old Elitis Shaw, who is also known to go by Eli, Sly and Alias, went missing from the city’s Englewood neighborhood on Friday, July 12, and has not been contacted since.

Officers say the teen boy, who stands 5 feet tall and weighs around 140 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes.

Shaw was last seen wearing a basketball jersey, blue jeans and gray and white New Balance gym shoes

According to Chicago police, 15-year-old Elitis Shaw, who is also known to go by Eli, Sly and Alias, went missing from the city’s Englewood neighborhood on Friday, July 12, and has not been contacted since.

Police did not provide details on the teen’s last known whereabouts.

Authorities notified the public about Shaw’s disappearance in a news release on Sunday afternoon.
