Watch ‘Best Friend’ Labrador’s Reaction to Seeing Owner After 2 Days Apart

US

An owner’s precious reunion with her dog after two days apart quickly went viral and melted hearts as viewers couldn’t get enough of the canine’s genuine happiness.

Not wanting her dog to be alone while she works late, owner Suzie will drop her Labrador retriever Luna off with her parents. And by the looks of it, her parents’ home isn’t a bad place to be as a dog. Luna has a giant backyard to play in, with a lake butting up against it.

This paradise would make you think Luna doesn’t care about being away from her owner, but the July 30 TikTok video posted to Suzie’s account, @soozieque, shows otherwise.

Luna was staying with her grandparents for two days. When Suzie finally returned from work to pick her up, Luna was busy in the backyard playing with her ball and grandpa. Suzie filmed walking out onto the deck and calling for Luna. Staring in disbelief, Luna stopped what she was doing. She needed time to process whether it was a dream or not.

The caption reads: “The way this dog looks at me…She’s my best friend.”

Even though the dog had a lush green backyard to play in, she gave it up instantly to greet her owner after two days apart. She came running to get as close as possible to her owner. They were separated by floors, with Suzie on the deck. Instead of finding a way upstairs, Luna sat below the deck with a smile plastered on her face.

“She’s always a happy girl when she sees me, or anyone that she loves!” Suzie told Newsweek via TikTok. “I thought it was cute how she ignored her ball and came running toward my voice.”

Even though Suzie is used to this type of reaction from Luna after being away, she still can’t get enough of it.

What Do the Comments Say?

The precious TikTok clip quickly amassed almost 2 million views, more than 264,000 likes and over 320 comments as of Thursday.

“This melts my heart. The love that animals have for their humans is priceless, beautiful,” wrote one viewer, while another pointed out: “The way she sits so beautifully and awaits your arrival.”

One TikTok user added: “You know she loves you cause she’s willing to leave that beautiful yard. You’re a lucky doggy mommy.”
