DUPAGE COUNTY, Ill. — Pre-trial release was denied this week for two DuPage County men accused of possessing and distributing child pornography in unrelated cases.

According to DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, 26-year-old Jordan Erdakos, a Warrenville resident, has been charged with one count of reproducing or distributing child pornography and five counts of possession of child pornography.

Prosecutors said the charges against Erdakos were handed down after Warrenville police received a tip, on Sunday, July 28, that Erdakos was allegedly in possession of a cell phone that contained child pornography.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the phone and allegedly observed hundreds of videos and images of child pornography, some of which Erdakos had allegedly shared online.

Erdakos was taken into custody two days later at his home.

Prosecutors added that Erdakos is currently on sex offender probation after he pleaded guilty to one count of child pornography possession in May. A condition of his probation included no possession of any electronic devices that were capable of connecting to the Internet.

During a court appearance on Tuesday morning, a judge also denied pre-trial release for Joseph Gregoire, a 38-year-old, Oakbrook Terrace resident who has been charged with two counts of reproducing or distributing child pornography and four counts of possession of child pornography in a separate case.

The charges were handed down after Lombard police received information that Gregoire, who had been operating under the alias “Kinkypigbottom,” was allegedly sharing and disseminating child pornography.

According to prosecutors, after receiving the tip, officers obtained and executed a search warrant on Gregoire’s home on Wednesday, July 31, and during the search, they allegedly uncovered videos and images of child pornography on two computers and a cell phone. Gregoire had also allegedly shared the content with others online.

Following the search, Gregoire was then taken into custody.

“The allegations that both of these men were not only in possession of child pornography but were actively sharing it with others are revolting,” Berlin said. “Each of these disgusting images and videos allegedly found on Mr. Gregoire’s and Mr. Erdakos’ devices, some of which depict infants and toddlers, represent yet another innocent victim of child pornography. The charges filed against these two men in as many days sends the message that in DuPage County, we will not hesitate in charging anyone suspected of possessing or distributing child pornography.”

Both men are set to return to court on Monday, August 26 for arraignment.
