3 men shot in South Austin early Saturday morning

CHICAGO – Three men were wounded after being shot in Chicago’s South Austin neighborhood early Saturday morning.

Chicago police said the shooting happened just after 12:30 a.m. in the 5000 block of West Madison Street.

According to investigators, the preliminary investigation indicated multiple men got out of a white sedan and started shooting at a vehicle.

CPD said a 33-year-old man in a moving vehicle was shot in the thigh and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition. However, a 43-year-old man standing nearby was shot in the face and taken to Loretto Hospital in critical condition. A 51-year-old man who was also standing nearby was shot in the torso and leg. He was taken to Mt Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

No other information was released and Area Four Detectives are investigating.
