CHICAGO — Chappell Roan was not the headliner for the opening day of Lollapalooza in Chicago, but you were never know that just looking at the crowd.
The “Hot to Go” singer took the T-Mobile stage at 5 p.m. on Thursday on the south end of Grant Park. And a sea of people greeted her.
The Chicago Sun Times said “the ‘Midwest Princess’ as one of the biggest crowds ever seen at the festival (nighttime headliners included) amassed on the south end of the park to take in the spectacle.”
The official Lollapalooza Twitter/X account offered another view of the large audience and in one tweet said simply, “It’s Chappell’s world and we’re just living in it.”
Lollapalooza continues through Sunday. For more information, check out our guide to the festival.
