Man discovered lying dead outside Friday morning in West Loop – Chicago Tribune

An unresponsive man was pronounced dead after being found outside Friday morning in the West Loop neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 8 a.m., the man was discovered unresponsive outside in the 1600 block of West Van Buren Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The man’s death appeared to be narcotic-related pending an autopsy.

Detectives were investigating.
