Deadly crash involving motorcycle closes NB 405 Freeway in San Fernando Valley

A deadly crash involving a motorcycle on the 405 Freeway left all northbound lanes blocked through part of the San Fernando Valley Friday morning.

The incident was reported shortly after 2 a.m. when the motorcyclist was involved in a crash with at least one other vehicle near Nordhoff Street in the North Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed the crash was fatal but have not identified the victim.

No further details regarding the cause of the crash were available.

Officials closed all northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway so they could investigate the collision.

All lanes remained closed as of 4:45 a.m.
