Chicago police search for endangered adult missing from South Side

CHICAGO — Authorities in Chicago are asking for help in the search for an endangered missing adult who officers say has not been contacted since Tuesday.

Chicago police have issued an Endangered Missing Person alert for 39-year-old Lequisha Johnson, who is missing from the Canaryville neighborhood in New City on the South Side.

Johnson, who has black hair and brown eyes, stands 4-foot-11 and weighs around 110 pounds.

A photo provided by CPD shows Johnson with braids, however, it is unclear if she had them at the time of her disappearance.

Chicago police have issued an Endangered Missing Person alert for 39-year-old Lequisha Johnson, who is missing from the Canaryville neighborhood in New City on the South Side.

Officers said the missing woman was last spotted wearing a blue plaid shirt, beige pants and white gym shoes.

According to police, Johnson is known to frequent a gas station in the 3100 block of South Halsted Street in Bridgeport and a gas station in the 4200 block of South Union Avenue in New City.

Authorities provided details about the missing woman’s disappearance in a news release sent out on Wednesday afternoon.
