The man arrested was identified as Slade Brockman, according to WCSO. He was released from parole in April 2024. Additionally, the agency said he was also out on two separate felony bonds in connection with two possession charges of “more than 4 grams of methamphetamine from this year.”

Brockman was charged with manufacturing/delivering of a controlled substance in penalty group one greater than or equal to 4 grams and less than 200 grams, according to WCSO.

“The seizure of nearly 19 grams of cocaine and a firearm from a parolee send a powerful message: We will not tolerate criminal activity, and community protection is our top priority,” WCSO Sheriff Mike Gleason said in the release.

The incident remained under investigation Wednesday.
