CHICAGO — Authorities in Chicago are searching for answers after a man was badly injured in a hit-and-run crash on the South Side on Monday afternoon.
According to Chicago police, the crash unfolded in the 2800 block of East 95th Street in Calumet Heights just before 4 p.m.
Officers say a 36-year-old man was crossing the street in the area when he was struck by a car, leaving him seriously injured.
On Tuesday, police shared videos captured by surveillance cameras of the vehicle that is believed to have been involved.
Officers say they believe it was a silver car, that was possibly a 2009 Volvo, with damage to the windshield and right headlight.
According to police, the vehicle was last spotted traveling east along 95th Street from Escanaba Avenue.
