Tiny Dachshund Hilariously ‘Forgets’ His Size as Squares up to Big Dog

The heated exchange between a miniature dachshund and a much larger dog has left viewers online in hysterics.

The two dogs were filmed challenging each other by their owner, known online as @__angel_ena_. The short clip, which has been viewed more than 19 million times since it was shared to TikTok on May 28, captured the miniature dachshund’s sudden burst of fury after the larger dog it was playfighting with got too close for comfort. The video has led to both shock and laughter among viewers online, as many commented that they were stunned by the sausage dog’s retaliatory anger.

Dachshunds, known for their strong and spirited personalities, often exhibit tempers that are both stubborn and feisty. Viewers were able to see the black-and-tan dachshund convulse and growl in outrage after the larger dog he was playing with came into contact with his snout during what appeared to have been a jovial fight. The canine’s eyes widened as he made his anger clear to the larger dog, prompting his owner to stroke his face gently and lull him into calming down.

“He forgets he’s not a big dog, ” the dog’s owner said. “All bark [and] no bite.”

Despite their typically small stature, dachshunds tend to possess an outsized confidence, and are often seen behaving as if they are much larger than they truly are.

This breed’s bold attitude and determination can sometimes lead to a headstrong demeanor, making them both charming and challenging companions. Their fearless nature and tenacity are balanced by a loving and playful disposition, endearing them to many dog lovers.

More than 3.5 million viewers have liked the post since it was shared to the platform, with over 7,800 making their amusement and astonishment known in the comments section.
