Loved ones search for missing Southern California teen

Loved ones are searching for a missing Southern California girl who has not been seen for weeks.

Chloe Castro, 16, was last seen on July 1 leaving her high school in Reseda at around 10 a.m., according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. 

The girl’s family is “extremely worried for her well-being and are actively searching for the teen,” officials said.

Castro is described as standing 4 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 90 pounds.

She has brown eyes and black hair and she has piercings on her ears and septum.

Since her disappearance, loved ones have not heard from the girl. She is believed to be in the local San Fernando Valley area, authorities said.

“We want Chloe to know that we believe in her and love her with all of our hearts,” said Scott Castro, the girl’s father. “We miss her and want her to be safe and happy.”

Anyone who has spotted the missing teen or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call NCMEC at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678) or the Los Angeles Police Department at 1-877-275-5273.
