No one was injured in the claws-tastrophe.

The “storrowed” truck.

A refrigerated seafood truck with a large image of a lobster on the side got “Storrowed” on Monday afternoon. The truck’s exoskeleton — erm, exterior — hit the Charlesgate pedestrian bridge and crumpled on top.

Massachusetts State Police said the truck made contact with the bridge at 12:15 p.m. Troopers removed the shell-shocked vehicle and backed it off the roadway. The scene was clear just after 1 p.m., according to State Police. Authorities did not report any injuries.

Getting Storrowed isn’t very claw-some. The very Boston incident is when a vehicle, usually a truck, smashes head-on into one of the low pedestrian bridges on Storrow Drive, a major artery parkway. The phenomenon is very common around Sept. 1, when the city is rife with moving trucks.

Just last year, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation implemented some “anti-Storrowing” measures ahead of Sept 1. The prevention methods included new road signs saying “Cars Only” and extra padding on bridges in the event that a too-tall truck makes contact.
