An early morning crash in Westminster left one man dead and sent a woman to the hospital Tuesday, police said.
Westminster officers responded to reports of a crash on 120th Avenue between Lowell Boulevard and Federal Boulevard around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the police department.
A man died at the scene of the crash and paramedics transported a woman to the hospital, police said. The crash shut down eastbound 120th Avenue.
Alcohol and speeding may have been factors in the crash, police said.
Information about the number of cars involved and the crash victims’ relationship was not available Tuesday morning.
As of 6:15 a.m., eastbound 120th Avenue between Lowell Boulevard and Federal Boulevard remained closed and was expected to be closed through the morning.
Drivers should use 112th Avenue or westbound 120th Avenue during the morning commute and expect delays in the area, police said in the news release.
