Animal lovers looking for a side hustle are in luck this summer as local services marketplace Airtasker has announced a rise in pet-related posts on the platform.

Airtasker is a platform that connects people who need a task done with people willing to provide the service. Common jobs posted include everything from admin tasks like filing and data entry to bricklaying, bartending and tutoring.

The company was founded in 2012 by Australian entrepreneurs Tim Fung and Jonathan Lui and now helps connect people and tasks in Australia, the U.K., Ireland, Singapore, the United States, and New Zealand.

With many families planning vacations and looking for trustworthy people to care for their pets, Airtasker has reported an 80 percent rise in pet-related posts on the platform.

While the prices might seem high for these pet-friendly tasks, in December another pet sitter earned themselves a $500 tip after creating an epic video of the owner’s pet while they were away.

Based on the iconic Christmas movie Home Alone, the video of Piggie delighted not just his owners but the internet too in a viral post.
