3 injured in Bronzeville shooting

CHICAGO — A shooting on the city’s South Side on Saturday morning left three men hospitalized.

According to Chicago police, the gunfire erupted in the 4000 block of South Prarie Avenue in Bronzeville at around 10:15 a.m.

Officers say the three victims, two 34-year-old men and a 44-year-old man, were standing outside in the area when an unknown individual approached and opened fire in their direction.

Following the shooting, officers say the gunman fled the scene in an unknown direction.

All three victims were wounded in the shooting and taken to the hospital in good condition.

Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and an investigation is now underway.
