Four members of a Brooklyn family — including two little children — were found stabbed to death in their Bensonhurst apartment, police said Saturday.

A relative believed to be responsible for the multiple murders is in custody being questioned, cops said.

Officers responding to a call of an assault in progress at the W. 8th St. apartment near Ave. P at about 10:15 p.m. Friday found a 56-year-old woman dead with multiple stab wounds to her neck and body, cops said.

Three other victims, a 27-year-old woman, a 5-year-old girl, and a 4-year-old boy were also found stabbed to death in the apartment.

Cops took a 24-year-old man into custody on suspicion of committing the murders. Charges against the man were pending.

Police were called to the scene after a tenant of the apartment, believed to be the father of the children, showed up and found the suspect with blood on his hands and the rest of the occupants dead, police sources said.

Detectives believe everyone involved is related and the killing was part of an ongoing domestic dispute, cops said.
