Bronx man, 21, killed in drive-by shooting

A 21-year-old man was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting in the Bronx, police said Saturday.

Victim Buriama Silla was in the rear of a home on Teller Ave. near E. 167th St. in Melrose about 11:30 p.m. Friday when someone in a black SUV shot at him.

Silla was hit in the chest as the SUV sped off, cops said.

The victim managed to take himself to Lincoln Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved, cops said.

The gunman was still being sought Saturday morning. Cops were scouring the area looking for surveillance footage that could help them identify the shooter.

Silla lived in the University Heights section of the Bronx, about four miles from where he was shot.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately disclosed.
