3 wounded Saturday morning in shooting in Bronzeville, cops say – Chicago Tribune

Three men were in good condition after being wounded in a shooting Saturday morning on the South Side in the Bronzeville neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Around 10:15 a.m., the victims were standing outside in the 4000 block of Prairie Avenue when a gunman approached and opened fire before fleeing the scene, police said.

One man, 34, suffered a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen, and was taken to UChicago Medicine in good condition. A 44-year-old man was wounded to the left chest, and also was in good condition at Stroger Hospital. The third man, 34, suffered a wound to the thigh and was taken to Providence Hospital of Cook County where he was listed in good condition.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
