Family searches for missing Southern California girl

Loved ones are searching for a Southern California teenager who disappeared.

Alison Jillian Chao, 15, was last seen on July 16, according to the Monterey Park Police Department.

She left her home on the 200 block of North Ynez Avenue at around 5:32 p.m. that night.

She rode her bike and was headed to a family member’s home in San Gabriel but never arrived at the destination.

Chao is described as an Asian female standing around 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 96 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

The missing teen left her home wearing a purple T-shirt, black shorts and dark shoes. She was riding on a blue mountain bike and carrying a black backpack.

Loved ones have not heard from her since her disappearance and are concerned for her well-being.

Anyone who may have spotted the girl or knows her whereabouts is asked to call Monterey Park Police at 626-573-1311.
