Anti-Trump organization 'The Lincoln Project' blasts message at RNC

US

MILWAUKEE — In the midst of the red sea that is Republicans at their national nominating convention is a solitary voice calling out: The Lincoln Project, a conservative political action committee dedicated to keeping Trump out of the White House.

The group doesn’t have an official presence at the convention but is using mobile billboards to tout an anti-Trump message.

“They’re obviously not ones that we are trying to move, but there are voters who are watching and there are people in Milwaukee, who are watching,” said spokesperson Ryan Wiggins. “Wisconsin is one of four states that really really really will play a massive role in the election this year. Despite the fact that there was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump on Saturday he has not changed. He is the same man he always has been and he is still a threat to democracy.”

In response to Trump’s pick of Ohio Sen. JD Vance as his running mate, The Lincoln Project released a statement saying that Republicans “chose a Vice-Presidential candidate who’s against no-fault divorce, supports a national abortion ban, voted against IVF access, and doesn’t care about the war in Ukraine.”
