AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman was sentenced July 11 on a first-degree murder charge in connection with the 2021 death of her neighbor over a “Bouncy House” theft.

According to Travis County court documents, 33-year-old Nora Lopez pleaded not guilty to the charge prior to being convicted by a jury and sentenced to serve 10 years in prison.

Lopez’s sentence was related to the death of 52-year-old James Traylor, who was found in east Austin with multiple gunshot wounds. He later died at a local hospital.
