15-year-old shooting victim pronounced dead at Houston-area hospital in the Medical Center, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A 15-year-old boy is dead after a shooting Tuesday evening, according to the Houston Police Department.

The original location of the shooting was not immediately known. But HPD posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the 15-year-old victim had been taken to the hospital at 7600 Beechnut in a private vehicle.

The victim was pronounced dead, prompting an investigation.

The cause of the shooting is still not known, and police add there are conflicting stories.
