CPD: Elderly man went missing after attending festival on North Side

CHICAGO — A search is underway for a man who officers say went missing after attending a festival on the city’s North Side over the weekend.

Police say 71-year-old Julio Villasenor was last seen on Saturday, July 13, in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood.

According to officers, the missing man was last seen near the 4400 and 4500 blocks of North Lincoln Avenue and had been in the area to attend the Square Roots Festival.

The missing man, who stands 5-foot-9 and weighs 160 pounds, has grey hair and brown eyes.

Officers say Villasenor was last spotted wearing a short-sleeved button-up shirt with a pattern, black cargo shorts, black shoes and glasses.

71-year-old Julio Villasenor was last seen on Saturday, July 13, in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood.

According to police, the missing man is known to frequently ride his bike throughout the city.

Authorities notified the public about Villasenor’s disappearance in a news release sent out on Tuesday morning.
