Since records began 66 years ago at O’Hare, only 14 other years have failed to reach 90+ degrees the first 11 days of July. A typical FULL July sees about eight 90 degree or warmer days.

As a prod of the intense heat moves east into the Midwest, there’s also the risk for strong or severe thunderstorms
