Tree falls, smashes through Pomona house

US

A Pomona house was red tagged on Thursday morning after a tree fell into its roof in the middle of the night.

Footage captured by stringer service Key News showed a large tree leaning into the roof of a house located at 720 North Wisconsin Street. Firefighters arrived at the scene at about 1:15 a.m.

A man identified as Enrique, who lives in the home, told Key News that he heard “creaks” from the living room just before the tree crashed into the house.

“It was kind of loud, then the ceiling just starts falling down,” he said.

Enrique said everyone in the home then rushed out, and luckily no one was injured.

All residents were displaced and are staying with family after the home was red tagged.
