A 15-year-old from Glenwood has been charged in with first-degree murder in the death of a 46-year-old Chicago man Friday, after allegedly luring the man through social media to meet, according to police.

Przemek Bogdanowicz died in an area hospital after being shot in his car on the 400 block of Longwood Drive by the child, who falsely identified himself as an adult as the two communicated over messaging apps, Glenwood police Chief Derek Peddycord said in a news release.

“It was a social meeting,” Peddycord said Tuesday, declining to elaborate further.

The 15-year-old got in Bogdonowicz’s car upon arriving at their meeting spot and “within moments” pulled a gun and shot Bogdonowicz, the news release said. The 15-year-old was taken into custody Sunday.
