Man found with fatal gunshot wound in Chicago Sunday night

A 36-year-old man was found dead in a kitchen in the Austin neighborhood Sunday night, according to Chicago police.

Police say they responded to a well-being check at the 200 block of North Central at about 11:29 p.m. and found the man on the kitchen floor, bleeding and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Shell casings were found at the scene. No suspects are in custody, and detectives are investigating.
