LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WJW) — A 75-year-old Pennsylvania woman who just finished cancer treatment is also celebrating another massive victory — winning $5 million from a scratch-off lottery ticket.

Donna Osborne, a great-grandmother who recently wrapped up her last radiation treatment for breast cancer, was planning to visit family in Florida with her daughter, according to Pennsylvania Lottery.

“The flight got delayed. Well, it was delayed so many times, I decided to go home. My daughter stayed and flew to Florida,” Osborne told lottery officials.

Osborne then purchased a “MONOPOLY™ Own It All” scratch-off ticket from a Speedway gas station in Leola, Penn. She checked the ticket in the parking lot and couldn’t believe her eyes.

“I went back into the store and said, ‘Can you please check this? Is it right or wrong?’ Well, the clerk said, ‘It’s right!’” she told lottery officials.

Pennsylvania Lottery officials presented Osborne with a commemorative check late last month.

The Lancaster County woman, who lottery officials say helps transport the Amish for a living, doesn’t have plans to retire.

“I don’t know what I’d do with myself, I have to keep moving,” Osborne said.

Rather, she plans to travel to Alaska and invest the rest of her winnings.

Osborne also told lottery officials that the big prize came just in time for her birthday.

“We wish Donna the best of birthdays as we celebrate her for winning this big Scratch-Off prize,” Pennsylvania Secretary of Revenue Pat Browne said. “Donna told us that she’s been playing the lottery for a long time, and it’s thanks to players like her that the PA Lottery is able to not only create millionaires but also help seniors live a good life.”

The Speedway where the winning ticket was sold will also receive a $10,000 bonus, according to Pennsylvania Lottery.
