West contends with blistering temperatures as Texas prepares for Beryl’s arrival

Scorching temperatures, high winds and dry brush were fueling more than 100 wildfires that erupted in California in the past 24 hours. In South Texas, communities were scrambling to prepare for the arrival of Tropical Storm Beryl, which could gain hurricane strength by Monday. Elise Preston reports.
