PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) — A spokesperson for the City of Pflugerville said no one was injured during a “fireworks mishap” at a Fourth of July celebration.

A viewer sent a video showing the mishap at the Typhoon Texas July 4th celebration. The video showed fireworks going off as normal until a large explosion of several fireworks happened at once at the finale of the show.

No injuries were reported, but a trailer was damaged during the incident, a public information officer with the city said. It’s not clear how extensive the damage was.

The city spokesperson also said the show at Typhoon Texas was not affected or canceled.

A fireworks show in Utah was delayed Thursday and six people were injured after fireworks went into the crowd during an Independence Day celebration, according to KXAN’s Utah affiliate ABC4.

A 10-year-old boy in Oklahoma was also injured and treated for burns from a fireworks explosion, KFOR reported.

A report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in 2023, the commission received reports of eight deaths and an estimated 9,700 injuries involving fireworks.
